Chester Bedell Competition: January 30-February 2 (16 teams, 8 schools) Stetson wins over Barry. St. Thomas (Fl) and St. Thomas (Fl) were semi-finalists. Florida State, Stetson, Univ. of Florida and Univ. of Florida were quarter-finalists. Also competing: Florida Coastal (2 teams), Florida A&M (2 teams), Florida International (2 teams), Barry and Florida State.

John L. Costello National Criminal Law Competition: January 30-February 2 (30 teams, 23 schools) Tulane wins over Michigan. Loyola New Orleans and American were semi-finalists. Richmond, Florida State, Georgetown, and William & Mary were quarter-finalists. Ole Miss’ Southern Classic: February 13-15 (8 teams): Tulane wins over Tulane. Faulkner and Mississippi College were semi-finalists. Also competing: LSU, Ole Miss, Minnesota and LSU.

Capitol City Challenge: March 4-7 (26 teams): John Marshall wins over South Carolina. Georgia State and Chicago-Kent were semi-finalists. Drexel, Pacific McGeorge, George Washington and Howard were quarter-finalists. Region 1: (Host: Boston College and New England) 21 Teams, 11 Schools. Boston University and Harvard advance to Nationals. Quinnipiac and Connecticut were finalists. New England, Suffolk, Boston College and New Hampshire were semi-finalists. Region 2: (Host: Syracuse) 20 Teams, 11 Schools. Syracuse and Syracuse advance to Nationals. Fordham and Fordham were finalists. Hofstra, Brooklyn, Hofstra and St. John’s were semi-finalists. Region 3: (Host: Drexel) 22 Teams, 11 Schools. American and Temple advance to Nationals. Temple and Villanova were finalists.
